About infovgc

infovgc is made by Oriol Gonzalez Garcia, a VGC player who wanted clear data on the Pokémon Champions meta: what gets played, with which sets, and what wins most.

Where the data comes from

From the public team lists of Limitless online tournaments and of the official in-person events (Regionals, Internationals and Worlds), whose standings are published by pokedata.ovh. They are downloaded several times a day. Nothing is made up or simulated: every figure comes from teams that were played in a tournament.

How it is calculated

The adjusted win rate adds 20 games at 50% so a small sample doesn't mislead you. The Top 8 index divides Top 8 usage by overall usage: above 1, a Pokémon reaches Top 8 more often than its usage suggests. PokéPaste EVs are an estimate, because Limitless doesn't publish the real spreads.

Reusing the data

The statistics infovgc publishes (usage, win rate, sets, cores and matchups) are licensed under Creative Commons BY 4.0: you can use and share them, including in videos or articles, as long as you credit infovgc.com. The original team lists belong to Limitless and its players.
