How the team plays

Froslass (Mega) is the team's special attacker: Modest with Blizzard and Shadow Ball behind Protect, at 198 Special Attack. It also runs Raichu (Mega X) as an alternative Mega: only one can Mega Evolve per battle.

Volcarona works as a pivot next to Froslass (Mega): Rage Powder redirects; Flame Body punishes contact.

Raichu (Mega X) and Sneasler provide Fake Out: that is how it gets the free turn without spending a setup move.

Volcarona sets Tailwind so the team moves first. Raichu (Mega X) sits at 171 Speed, one point above Sneasler's 170, so no teammate takes the turn from it.

Milotic is the spread attacker: Icy Wind hits both foes at once. At 103 Speed, it depends on Tailwind being active.

Volcarona's Charti Berry covers the Rock hit it would otherwise lose to.
