How the team plays

Charizard (Mega Y) is the team's special attacker: Modest with Heat Wave, Weather Ball and Solar Beam behind Protect, at 196 Special Attack. It also runs Floette-Eternal (Mega) as an alternative Mega: only one can Mega Evolve per battle.

Charizard (Mega Y) sets sun when it Mega Evolves.

Whimsicott sets Tailwind so the team moves first. Whimsicott is the fastest at 149 Speed, followed by Garchomp at 134.

Floette-Eternal (Mega) is the spread attacker: Dazzling Gleam hits both foes at once.

The Ice, Poison and Electric weaknesses are unresolved: Garchomp takes 4× from Ice, Whimsicott takes 4× from Poison and 2 of the six are weak to Electric.

The spreads are the generic 32/32 ones and have not been tuned to specific benchmarks.

Team by Lorenzo Sollini, who took it to VR October Challenge #3 (3rd).

We build each spread against the most used Pokémon in the meta and around its teammates: the Speed that pays off most (counting the team's Tailwind or Trick Room) and just enough bulk to survive one or two hits from the threats no other member already handles, with the rest into attack. It's an estimate on the Pokémon Champions scale (0–32 per stat, 66 in total), because players don't publish their real spreads.
